You may think it's crazy to move in the middle of the year but it's really not. If you look on the bright side the building is cleaner, bigger, and more exciting. Last week our school moved from our east campus back to home to our main building. The old building was scary and a little dirty, but now we don't have to worry about that because here it's cleaner. You also don't have to worry about having gym in the classroom because we have a gym and it has basketball courts, new bleachers, and a new stage. Lastly you don't have to worry about freezing classrooms because it's much warmer now that we're in a new building. This building is 20 million times better than the last building, and I think it's great.

This month in Classroom Champions, Rm 324 has been talking about the Seven Steps to Success. The Seven Steps to Success are Discover, Dive In, Make a Plan, Be Courageous, Believe, Evaluate your goals, and Succeed and Celebrate. On January 31,2013, Rm 324 made a rap about success. It was a rap that represented all the letters in the word success. Our olympian Emily Cook told us these seven steps to success will help us acheive our goals. She told us that if you follow these steps, you will succeed. We also wrote what step was most important to us. Lastly, we wrote steps we needed to take to acheive our goals we set. The goal I set was to become a famous rapper. The steps I will take to acheive my goal are #1 to learn to rap,#2 write my own lyrics, #3 to make a beat to go with my lyrics, #4 let someone famous hear my music, and get signed to a record deal. Those are the steps I will take to acheive my goal.

"I'm Glad We Met"     A Poem by Allyssa Minkiewicz

                                        When I look into your
                                  eye's it's like looking
                                   into the bright blue
                                                 sky.

I hate to see you upset
                                     that's why I'm glad
                                      we met.

                                        When the sun goes down
                                         your eyes shine brighter
                                         then the twinkling stars
in the stars I'm glad we met.

                                          When it's rainy out
                                            your eye's still light
                                            up the world we're
                                             in I'm glad we met.

                                            Even the cold and hottness
                                            won't stop your eye's from
                                              sparkling. I'm glad we met.

We are the students in Miss Cappuccino's fifth grade class! This year we are one out of twenty-five classrooms in the country that are participating in the Classroom Champions Program. We are learning many things about ourselves and athletes competing in the U.S. Olympics. We are busy learning many skills in Reading, Writing, Math, and Social Studies using technology. We hope you enjoy our blog about the awesome things we are doing this year! "We ARE CHAMPIONS!"
