Northwood Culture = Authentic Relationships.

At our school, a special culture thrives because we focus on building authentic relationships among students, families, and staff. Celebrating student achievements motivates and uplifts our community, while small class sizes ensure every child’s voice is heard and valued. Active parent involvement strengthens the support system around our students, and honoring diversity enriches our learning environment by embracing the unique backgrounds and experiences each person brings. Together, these elements create a welcoming, inclusive, and nurturing place where everyone can grow and succeed.

Be Recognized

Celebrating Students

We hold two big honor roll celebrations each trimester to recognize our students’ hard work and achievements. These events include a special award ceremony, a delicious hot breakfast, and plenty of encouragement to celebrate their success.

be heard

Small Classes

Our classrooms are intentionally kept small, with no more than 23 students per class. This allows for more personalized attention and gives every student a better chance to participate, speak up, and be truly heard.

Parent Inclusion

Our parents are deeply involved in school life, helping to create a strong, supportive community. We host monthly family nights—like bingo, movie nights, and painting sessions—that offer fun, wholesome activities for everyone. We also encourage lots of parent volunteering, from assisting with events to chaperoning field trips, making family engagement a vital part of our school culture.

Honoring Diversity

We honor important occasions like Spanish Heritage Month, Black History Month, and Women’s History Month to recognize and appreciate the rich backgrounds of our students and community. Additionally, we incorporate different cultures into our curriculum, helping students learn about and respect the many traditions and histories that make our school unique.
