Having a high percentage of certified teachers ensures that students receive instruction from qualified, knowledgeable educators who meet rigorous state standards.  It’s one way we guarantee a quality education and a strong foundation for every student’s future.

Northwood attracts and empowers a committed and professional staff that embodies our learning sanctuary. Our team operates from the tenet that purposeful relationships are key to our foundation. 

Each staff member is charged with the care and well-being of every child. We do this through a kind human spirit, cultural competence, and keen awareness. By respecting and supporting our students, their families, and our staff on a regular basis, we honor and uphold this commitment.

All teachers are required to use stated curriculum and assessments and provide documentation through weekly lesson plans and ongoing data collection. Our instructional program is monitored regularly by our Instructional and Administrative Team - CEO, Principal, Director of Special Education, teachers and instructional coaches. All standardized tests are administered under local, state and federal directives.
