Northwood Academy Charter School's Community, Assessment and Resource Education Team, or the CARE team, consists of the school social workers and social work interns committed to ensuring the emotional safety and well-being of the NACS community. The CARE team was developed to ensure that the mental health and wellness needs of students and their families are met through various forms of support and referrals for services. The CARE team is responsible for truancy services, McKinney-Vento, Social Emotional Learning, Mental Wellness programming, crisis intervention, special education counseling related service, Intensive behavioral health services referrals, Student Assistance Program referrals, as well as community wellness partnerships with local organizations with the ability to provide adequate and effective service{s) to the NACS community.
