Transportation

Families who need transportation services for their child should complete the Transportation Request Form. If your child currently receives transportation services, you do not need to submit a new form. Existing transportation services will automatically carry over to the new school year.

Students in Grades 1–6The School District of Philadelphia (SDP) offers a Flat Rate Program that provides eligible families with financial assistance for transporting their children to and from school. Payments are issued per household, not per student.

To participate, families must provide vehicle information during the enrollment process, and the information must match the household address on file. Students must meet SDP’s monthly attendance requirements to remain eligible for payment. Families are also responsible for completing and submitting the required monthly documentation directly to SDP.

Please note that NACS does not determine eligibility, issue payments, or control the payment schedule for the Flat Rate Program.

Students in Grades 7–8Students in Grades 7 and 8 are generally eligible for a SEPTA Pass rather than the Flat Rate Program, unless otherwise determined by the Special Education Department.

If your child received a SEPTA Pass during the previous school year, the pass will automatically be reactivated for the start of the new school year. If a pass has been lost or needs to be replaced, please contact Ms. Mohamad at amohamad@northwoodcs.org.

Transportation ApprovalAll transportation requests and services are subject to approval by the School District of Philadelphia. NACS does not determine transportation eligibility, routes, schedules, or other transportation decisions made by the District.
